This past week seemed to fly by - I can't believe how close we are!
We had an appointment with the doctor on Thursday (and will every Thursday until I deliver). She did an ultrasound to confirm that the baby was head down, and yes, she is still a girl! I asked her about getting a doctor's note for a "stop work" date, but she said I was very healthy and did not need one. There are 5 doctors in my office, so I may try again next week. It would be great to stop working March 9, the last day of the quarter. A nice clean break from school.
I had two showers at work this week - one thrown by the adults and one thrown by the kids. The first was wonderful, the teachers in my grade got together and threw a little party during planning. On Friday, the students threw a shower - it was too cute! They had put a lot of thought and effort into it, complete with door prizes and shower games. Even though only 6-7 kids chose to stay in and play these games, it was still very cute. I got a lot of nice and interesting gifts also. The girls in particular were very into this party. The boys, once finished eating, were sort of over it.
Baby B might officially have a larger wardrobe than me at this point. Between all the shower gifts, the hand-me-downs and all the impulse buys made by her parents (yes Mommy discovered Gymboree this week), her closet is very full!! She is set through 6 months, and is working on a very nice 9 month collection. Let's hope she even stays small long enough to get through these outfits at least once.
