So, here we are, past our official due date, still no Baby B. The 9 month build up to this weekend has made dealing with the non-event a little difficult. We both hope we are blessed with the little one this week. The next doctor's appointment is Thursday, where they will run a few tests to ensure everything is still going well.
Work for me ended on Thursday - it was just too much to deal with the discomfort, the swelling and the mood swings and still try to do my job well. Now, Dave has the pleasure of these wonderful pregnancy symptoms. And post-due-date, I think all three have been heightened...
The plus side to being at home (alone) is that Dave and I spent the entire weekend on one long date. Neither of us wanted me to be alone for too long, plus we needed to do stuff to keep our minds off our disappointment. So, we had a great weekend together as a couple - the museum, hiking, restaurants, etc. We never try to pack so many activities into one weekend!
